Important Meeting

Today I had an important IEP meeting scheduled first thing in the morning.  I needed an outfit that was professional, but also comfortable enough to go the long haul for an activity filled Friday.  I decided on a grey pencil skirt paired with a white blouse and coral sweater.  I topped it off with a mint statement necklace and nude heels.  I was really happy with the outfit, and it functioned well for all of my various roles at work today.

Ridiculously Tired

I could not sleep last night so this morning I was absolutely exhausted when I was getting ready.  I went for something simple and stylish.  I figured I couldn't go wrong with cheetah print and black so I paired a cheetah print tunic top that is honestly too big with a pair of black skinnies and topped it off with a black blazer.  Tucking the top into the pants and covering it with a jacket made the top work, even though it was too big.

I was ridiculously tired today, so I decided to wear an old standby...animal print and black.  What do you like to wear when you don't feel like thinking about it?

Summery Shift Dress

I was running so late this morning, I just needed something that I could throw on quick and head out the door.  I always find that a simple dress and a statement necklace  are easy to throw on and look put together. I decided to pair a cobalt blue shift dress with a mint necklace.  I've just discovered this color combination and I think I'm in love.  I plan to wear these colors together a lot over this summer.  I ended up really loving this outfit for work.  It felt modern and a little bit fancy.  What do you think about the combination of cobalt blue and mint?  Is it something you would wear?

Traffic Cone Orange to Pale Pink

Today was a super busy day.  I was excited to wear this orange blazer that I got on clearance when I was visiting my parents in Arizona last week.  I wore it for an event over the weekend, but I had so many ideas for styling it that I decided to wear it to work today.  The outfit was comfortable and I thought it was cute.  What do you think about bright colored blazers?  How would you style an orange blazer?

After work I had an event to attend for the evening.  I decided to wear a color that I don't wear to often...pink!  I accessorized the dress with a black flowered necklace, black belt, and black heels.  I got a lot of compliments on the outfit and I really liked it.  What do you think about pink?  Is it a color you wear often?

Purple Professionalism

Today was my first day back to school after spring break.  I was not looking forward to waking up early, but I was determined to dress professionally despite being so tired.  I decided to wear a black and white tweed pencil skirt with a black blazer.  I added a purple silk shell for a pop of color.  Since I didn't wake up as early as I had hoped, I didn't have time to straighten my hair so I put it up in a bun, which ended up adding the professional feel of the outfit.

Going Girly

Today I had a busy day that required a somewhat fancy outfit.  I decided to wear a classic...black and white polka dot dress.  The version I chose was a little more modern with the combination of large and small polka dots.  I paired the dress with a pearl necklace and earrings.  The outfit was perfect for the day, and I got a lot of compliments on the dress.  Overall, I think it was a successful outfit.

Saturday Craziness

Today was a busy day.  I had plans for breakfast and later to attend a get together.  I decided to wear two completely different outfit for each outing.  The first outfit that I decided to wear was one that I had been wanting to put together for awhile.  I saw a similar outfit on Pinterest a while back and was excited to try out the chambray shirt/striped skirt combination.  The yellow flats I ordered recently were a great pop of color to finish the outfit.  The ensemble was comfortable and I really liked the way it came together.

Mini-Trip to Visit the 'rents

For the past few days I have been in Lake Havasu for a last minute trip to visit my parents. As hard as it is to believe, my parents do not own a full length mirror so I had to take photos when I got home from my trip.  The weather was warm and I was on vacation so I went for casual comfortable outfits that were good for hanging out with my parents.

On Thursday we did a little shopping and then hung out around the house.  I went for a casual short outfit that was comfortable around town and at the house.

Travel Day

Today I drove to Lake Havasu for an impromptu trip to visit my parents.  I picked up my grandma along the way and brought my dog with me.  It's so nice to have a few days off for spring break so I can get in some quality family time.  It was a cool 68 degrees at home and I was anticipating 86 degree weather when I arrived.  I decided to layer colored skinny jeans with a tank and a hoodie.  I needed something comfortable that could transition from colder to warmer weather, and this outfit worked perfectly.

Dog Park and Lunch

Today was the first official day of my spring break.  I had a busy day with my pooch planned.  We went to the pet store and the dog park before joining my best friend for lunch.  This evening I had dinner plans with another friend.  It was great to spend some quality time with my puppy and to relax after a few busy weeks at school.  The weather has cooled off significantly since last week so I needed an outfit that I could play with my dog, go to lunch, and be warm enough all day long.  I decided on jeans and boots, with a coral colored sweater.  The outfit was cute and comfortable, and perfect for today.
