Peachy Keen Jelly Bean

Today was another fun-filled day in the classroom.  I knew I was going to have a busy day between teaching, meeting with a parent, a staff meeting, team lead responsibilities, technology coach responsibilities, yearbook advisor responsibilities, and the cherry on top...a paper for my Masters due by midnight.  Since I had so much going on today, I went with minimal thought on my outfit.  I decided to wear an outfit that I had thought through over a week ago and had been waiting patiently in my closet for a day (like today) when I didn't have the mental energy to pick out a cute outfit.  The outfit consisted of a silky peach colored peplum top and gray pencil skirt.  I think that the shoes and the long necklace really set off the outfit though.  How do you plan for those days where you are beyond caring about what to wear?

Green, and Blue, and Blooming

Today I had several parent meetings planned so I wanted a comfortable and professional outfit.  I had recently purchased yet another statement necklace, and decided to build my outfit around it.  I paired a navy blue pencil skirt with a Kelly green cardigan and finished it off with the necklace.  I received several compliments on the outfit and it was comfortable for the whole work day.

Training Day

Today I had a training to attend at the district office so it was a casual day.  I went with jeans and a polka dot top.  The outfit was comfortable and worked well for a day when I was going to be sitting in a training all day.  The outfit was simple yet cute.

Gloomy Sunday

Today was a gloomy day so I decided to wear something cozy.  I went with neutral colors of black and gray with some comfy jeans and boots.  The outfit worked great for a gloomy weekend day.

Party Time

Today I had a fairly lazy day at home, but I had plans to attend a party this evening.  Since I was just hanging out around the house I wore work out clothes for most of the day.  For the evening, I decided to go casual with boots and jeans, and dressed it up a bit with a colorful blouse.  The outfit was comfortable for a night out with friends.

Ladylike and Striped

Today was the first day in awhile that started out cool and warmed up later in the day.  Fall is in the air.  When the weather is like this I try to layer my clothing so that I can be comfortable all day.  I decided on a striped jersey knit dress and layered a yellow sweater over the top.  The outfit seemed a little shapeless so I added a belt.  I really liked the outfit and was comfortable in it all day.  What do you like to wear for fall weather?

Zigging and Zagging

Today was an extremely busy day at work.  It was one of those days where I felt like I was being pulled in ten different directions at once.  Not knowing the kind of day I was headed for, I chose a zig- zag patterned dress and paired it with black heels and a statement necklace.  While I received a lot of compliments, I wish that I had worn something a bit more comfortable for such a long day.  What do you wear to work when you have a long day planned?

Neon, Floral, and a Blazer...Oh my!

Today was set to be another hot one in sunny Southern California.  I decided to go with a floral skirt I've had for some time and change it up a bit.  Since I bought this skirt, I almost always go for a black top and black heels, but I wanted to try something a little different this time.  I pulled a color from the skirt and matched it to a blazer and flats in a cobalt blue.  I ended up really liking the outfit and it was plenty comfortable for a day full of teaching and meetings.  Have you ever felt the urge to change up an old go to outfit?

Doctor Doctor

Today I knew I was going to be leaving work to go straight to a doctor's appointment so it was going to be a long day.  I decided to wear something comfortable, but also put together.  I have really been into different shades of green lately so I decided to pair a chartreuse peplum top with a striped skirt and flats.  The outfit worked great, although I don't think it had the most flattering fit on me.  Maybe I will tweak the outfit a bit the next time I wear something similar.  What do you wear when you have a long day?

Comfy Day

Today I was exhausted from traveling and trying to get everything ready for school.  I decided today was the day for an ultimate comfy outfit.  I chose a black jersey maxi skirt and white tank.  I topped it with a jean jacket and hoop earrings.  The outfit was composed of simple pieces, but I feel like they went together well.  The outfit was a little warm for the 100 degree weather, but it was comfortable when I was indoors which was most of the day.  What do you wear to work when you are exhausted?

Girls Weekend, Plus Dad

This weekend my best friend and I had plans to visit my parents and have a girls weekend with my mom.  My dad was also in town so we included him in our shenanigans as well.  It was a lazy, hang out by pool, eat, drink, and be merry kind of weekend.  Comfort was the name of the game when it comes to what I decided to wear.  On Saturday I wore a bright t-shirt with black shorts and sandals.  On Sunday I opted for a fit and flare jersey dress and sandals.  True to form, I sported the same accessories all weekend as I often do when I travel.  What would you wear for a girls weekend that includes your mom?

Today I had an important parent meeting before school.  Although I wanted to wear a really comfortable outfit, I elected to wear something more professional due to my meeting.  I decided to wear a coral skirt with a navy blazer.  I had recently purchased a navy and coral statement necklace and I was eager to wear something that coordinated with it.  This seemed like the perfect opportunity.  What do you wear when you have an important meeting to attend?

Army Green Chic

Today I woke up tired.  You know how that is... I decided to wear something comfortable since I was so sleepy.  I went with an army green tunic top and black skinny jeans.  The outfit had a bit of a military feel to it because of the color, but I added an antique gold necklace to make the outfit a bit more chic.  Would you wear a military inspired outfit?
